BOE

CONCEPT

The Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council’s primary focus is to meet or exceed the expectations of its corporate partners, Minority Business Enterprise constituents and community stakeholders. The Council theme for 2019 – Seize the Now- No Opportunity Wasted– is an extension of our challenge to the GMSDC family to be proactive and intentional in all efforts in 2019. The long-term sustainability and prosperity of our community depends on a successful implementation of this standard, across the board. To that end, the Council is constantly evaluating every program, event and activity to be certain that it is fulfilling the GMSDC vision and leveraging strategic resources to insure your success.

The Business Opportunity Exchange (BOE) continues to grow and evolve as we each year seek to be innovative and add value to our constituents – by continuing to make adjustments that will align our conference more closely with the expressed needs and concerns of the GMSDC family. Based on the feedback from last year, we are trending in the right direction.

CONFERENCE FOCUS

One of the consistent messages we have heard revolved around evaluating the effectiveness of the expo format for both corporate members and MBEs, which led us to the evolution of the format in 2017. We continue to focus on MBE growth and development as we gear up for BOE 2019.

The 2019 Business Opportunity Exchange will focus on four areas:

1. Fueling Small Business Growth through Innovation – there will be educational sessions that will discuss innovation but externally and internally for small business. Innovation is not just the next big thing but
innovation in internal processes can also yield tremendous success

2. MBE Presentations – Approximately thirty MBEs will be afforded the opportunity to present to a room full of corporate procurement professionals

3. Corporate TouchPoints – One-on-One appointments between corporate procurement executives and GMSDC certified MBEs

4. Supplier Diversity Professional Educational Session
