The GMSDC has a track record of excellence and peak performance that places the Georgia Council among the top affiliates in the NMSDC network each year. Even with all of the many challenges we’ve all faced in 2020, our community still continues to produce dynamic results for clients and award-winning, top shelf execution. The NMSDC hosts its annual conference each fall – Atlanta was the host city last year – where one of the most anticipated activities is the awards gala. This year’s conference will be virtual to safeguard everyone’s health in a pandemic environment, but the awards that recognize supplier diversity excellence will still be presented. The GMSDC is pleased to acknowledge two of our MBEs who have been selected as Regional Suppliers of the Year – GoProcure in Class II and Metasys Technologies in Class III – and will be competing for National Supplier of the Year honors at the NMSDC convention on October 26 – 29, 2020.
Each of the 23 affiliate councils in the NMSDC network names its own Suppliers of the Year in each of the four annual revenue categories – Class I – less than $1 million, Class II – $1 to 10 million, Class III – $10 to 50 million, and Class IV – more than $50 million – at an annual awards event similar to our Spirit of Alliance Awards. The winners of local Supplier of the Year awards are eligible to compete for Regional honors the following year, with the 16 Regional winners vying for the title of National Supplier of the Year at NMSDC’s annual conference. Georgia’s MBES have an enviable track record in this regard, having won both Regional and National honors multiple times. In the past, Georgia’s MBEs have claimed as many as 3 of the 4 regional slots in one year and have brought home as many as 2 of the 4 national awards. In addition to MBEs competing for supplier recognition, Georgia corporations have been frequent nominees for various corporate awards, including Corporation of the Year, over the years. It is the amazing companies that make up our business community that keep Georgia on everybody’s mind.

At Metasys, ‘People Matter.’
Please join us in congratulating these two outstanding firms, both of whom exemplify the high standards and customer focus that we have come to expect from the nation’s finest community of MBEs. Please take a moment to send along some words of encouragement from the GMSDC family, as we prepare to watch one – or both – of them be named the NMSDC National Supplier of the Year next week. Thank you for stepping up and representing to the nation why Georgia has been ranked the #1 state for business. We are proud of you.
